2. Remove the radio panel.
3. Disconnect the 2-pin connector from the cigarette lighter.
4. Check the connector contacts and make sure they provide reliable contact.

- If contacts are bent, loose or corroded, repair the defects and retest the system.
- If the contacts look OK, proceed to step 5.
5. Turn the ignition key to the ON (II) position and check the voltage between terminals No.2 and No.1.
- There should be battery voltage.
- If there is no battery voltage, check:
- Is fuse #18 (15A) in the under-dash fuse/relay box blown?.
- Poor grounding (G401, G402).
- Is there a break in the wire?.
6. If the test is normal, replace the cigarette lighter.
