Disposal of shock absorbers (Honda HR-V 1)

The shock absorbers contain nitrogen gas and oil under pressure.

To avoid explosion and possible injury, pressure must be released before disposal.

Place the shock absorber on a flat surface with the end of the rod extended, drill a hole with a diameter of 2-3 mm in the housing and release the gas.

Warning: Always wear safety glasses to avoid metal shavings getting into your eyes when releasing pressure from the shock absorber.
