Turn on the ignition. The engine management system indicator light should come on for about 2 seconds. If the light does not come on, check the following:
- a) The light bulb burned out.
- b) Fuse #3 is faulty (which causes problems with components such as the reversing light, seat belt control, clock, radio memory).
- c) Open circuit between the fuse and the combination meter.
- d) Open circuit between the combined meter and the ECU module.
After the control lamp and self-diagnosis indicators light up, turn off the ignition. Turn on the ignition again. If the LEDs do not light up, check the following:
- a) The fuse is defective.
- b) Open circuit between ECU and fuse.
The ECU module should be replaced only after checking the reliability of the connection of all contacts and connectors.
