Testing and replacing the combination light switch (Honda HR-V 1)

1. Remove the steering column covers (see chap. "Steering").

2. Disconnect the 16-pin connector from the combination light switch.

3. Remove the two screws, then take out the combination light switch.

4. Check the connector contacts and make sure they provide reliable contact.

If contacts are bent, loose or corroded, repair the defects and retest the system.
If the contacts look OK, check for continuity between them in all switch positions according to the table. If there is no continuity between any of them, check for continuity in the switch harness.

If there is continuity in the switch harness, replace the combination light switch.
If there is no continuity in the switch harness, repair the harness or replace the combination light switch.
