Fuel Evaporative Control System (2WD models).
Check the fuel vapor recovery system tubes.
Make sure that the tubes are not damaged and that the system components are securely fastened.
1. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the EVAP valve port coming from the fuel tank. Apply vacuum and check for circulation.
If there is no circulation or there are signs of leaks, replace the fuel vapor filter.
2. Connect a hand vacuum pump to the Evaporative Emission System valve port; coming from the fuel tank. Apply pressure and make sure there is circulation.
If there is no circulation or there are signs of leaks, replace the fuel vapor filter.
Removal and installation the fuel vapor recovery system filter
1. Disconnect the vacuum tubes and purge hose.
2. Remove the filter.
A - vacuum tube,
B - purge hose,
C - filter.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
