Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector and unscrew the sensor.
A - oxygen sensor connector,
B - oxygen sensor.
2. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Checking the Oxygen Sensor Heater
1. Check the resistance of the oxygen sensor heater.
- A) Turn the ignition key to position "OFF".
- b) Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
- V) Check resistance between terminals "3" And "4" oxygen sensor heater.
- Rated resistance - 6 ohms
If the resistance is not within specification, replace the sensor.
2. Check the oxygen sensor heater circuit for short to ground. Check continuity between terminals "3" And "4" oxygen sensor heater and ground. If there is continuity, replace the sensor.
3. Check the power to the oxygen sensor heater from the ECU.
A) Turn the ignition key to position "ON (II) ".
6) Check voltage between terminals "3" And "4" oxygen sensor heater connector.
- Rated voltage - battery voltage.
1 - throttle cable,
2 - throttle body,
3 - valve of the crankcase ventilation system,
4 - air duct,
5 - air filter.
