Types of adhesives

Types of adhesives

Attention.
  • Use the recommended primer, do not mix different primers.
  • Primer plays an important role and helps to increase the efficiency of the glue. There are two types of primers: for the body and for glass.
  • Open the primer and adhesive only immediately before use.
  • Store primer and glue in a cool place.

Working time with glue

Glue the components together within no more than 5 minutes after applying the adhesive.

Minimum curing time after gluing

  • In winter at an ambient temperature of approx. 10°C: 6-8 hours.
  • In spring and autumn at an ambient temperature of approx. 20°C: 3-4 hours.
  • In summer at an ambient temperature of approx. 30°C: 1-2 hours.

Attention. Be sure to make a holding time. If the holding time is less than specified, the quality of gluing may become unsatisfactory.

Examination

Check for water leaks 1-2 hours after installing the glass. If a leak is detected, fix it after the water has dried using the recommended sealant.

If moving the vehicle is necessary, do so with care.

When checking for water leaks, pour water onto the glass while holding the end of the hose.
