The molding and clamps are not replaced separately, but are replaced together with the glass assembly.
If the glass is being reused, cut away the adhesive without damaging the molding.
For the procedure for removing and installing glass, see the section above "Windshield removal and installation procedure".
Removable components
Before removing the glass, remove the following components (see below):
- Side trim of the luggage compartment.
- Upper trim of the luggage compartment.
Method of installing piano wire
- Pass piano wire through each corner as shown in the picture, pull the wire in the directions of the arrows and cut the glue.
- The figure shows the view from the outside.
Mounting areas
The installation of the fasteners is carried out according to the alignment marks on the glass.
Areas for installing fasteners/applying primer on the body
Primer/glue application areas on glass
Apply primer according to the marks.
