Attention.
- Do not cut your hands while working, wear gloves.
- Do not damage the dashboard. Also, do not deform the steering column beam brackets.
1. Remove the dashboard (see above).
2. Remove the following components:
- Instrument cluster panel (see above).
- AKP selector lever (see ch. Automatic transmission).
- Front Passenger Airbag Assembly (see ch. Additional passive safety system (SRS)).
3. Disconnect the connectors shaded in the figure below.
4. Remove the bolt «masses».
5. On models with IHCC, remove the relay box mounting bolt (brown) from the driver's side.
6. Remove clips e/conducting and sockets.
Before removing the beam, remember the installation locations of the electrical wiring clamps and connectors.
7. Turn off a fixing bolt of a fuse box from the driver's side and remove a fuse box from an arm.
8. Turn off screws from the instrument panel and separate a beam of a steering column from the instrument panel.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure the e/wiring is not clamped.
Attach connectors securely. In addition, properly secure the electrical wiring and connectors with clips.
