Attention:
- Do not test near fire or hot objects.
- If safety precautions are not followed, the battery may explode and cause injury to others.
1. Make sure the temperature of the battery electrolyte is 15-38°C.
2. Check the battery case for cracks and leaks.
If the case is damaged, replace the battery.
3. Check the electrolyte level in each battery bank.
If the level is below the mark "LOWER", add distilled water. After adding water, charge the battery.
4. Check electrolyte density.
- Nominal density (at 20°C) — 1.25-1.29 g/cm3
5. Measure battery voltage.
- Rated voltage (at 20°C) - 12.7-12.9 V
Note:
- Before measuring voltage, turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" and turn off all voltage consumers (headlights, fog lights, fan, radio, etc.).
- If the engine was running before measuring the battery voltage, stop the engine and wait 5 minutes.
6. Using a tester, check the serviceability of the fusible links, make sure that there is conductivity at their terminals.
- A) Check the strength of the fastening of the battery terminals, the absence of corrosion.
- b) Make sure the fuses and fuses are intact.
