Installation places for a jack
Raising a car with a jack
1. Stop the vehicle on a flat, hard road.
2. Apply the parking brake, support the wheel located on the diagonally opposite side of the punctured wheel on both sides, for example, with stones.
3. Put the jack on the ground and turn it by hand until the notch of the jack hits the mounting location on the car body.
4. Rotate the jack with the handle and jack handle lever to raise the vehicle until the tire is slightly off the ground.
Attention:
When the vehicle is jacked up, never do any work under the vehicle. This is very dangerous, because the jack may break.
To ensure safety while using the jack, follow these recommendations:
- Do not start the engine with the vehicle raised by a jack. Do not use the jack on a soft surface.
- Install the jack only in the marked places.
- Disembark passengers and unload luggage.
- Only use the jack when changing a wheel or putting on chains.
Note. Only use a jack from your car, do not use jacks from other cars, as they may not match the allowable load or differ in installation locations.
