Checking windshield washer electric motors (Honda Avancier 1)

1. Remove the right inner fender*1 (left inner fender*2) (see chapter Body).

• *1: Models with J30A engine
• *2: Models with F23A engine

2. Disconnect the windshield washer motor connectors.



3. Apply battery voltage between terminals No.1 (+) and No.2 (-) of each electric motor and check whether the electric motor rotates smoothly without abnormal sounds.

If an abnormal sound is heard or the electric motor does not rotate smoothly, replace the electric motor.

4. If the electric motor is in good condition, check the following:

• Disconnection, blockage, kinking of washer hoses.
• Blockage of jets.
• Electric motor pump.
