Because next to the floor covering there are components of an additional passive safety system, during work see ch. Additional passive safety system (SRS).
Attention.
- Work with gloves.
- Be careful not to damage the instrument panel, trim components, or removable components. Also, do not kink or damage the flooring.
Remove the following components:
front seats (see below).
Rear seat cushions (see below).
Side bonnet trims (see above).
Front side trim (see above).
Rear side trim (see above).
Lower finishes of the central pillars (see above).
Front Seat Belt Lower Anchor Bolts (see below).
Lower center trim (see below).
Fuel filler door opener cover (see below).
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Check the latches for damage and replace if necessary.
Secure components with latches and clips so that there are no gaps.
Check that there are no wrinkles, kinks, or mounting holes moved, and then install the removed components.
Correctly pass the electric wiring of the seats through the holes in the floor covering.
Before tightening the seat belt anchor bolts, make sure they are not twisted.
