Avoid damaging the door panel and removable components during work.
Remove the following components:
- Outside rearview mirror (see below).
- Door trim (see above).
Gradually lift the molding, starting from the rear end, and remove it.
To install the molding, remove the clips from the door panel and install them on the molding. Align the clips with the holes in the panel, install the molding and press it firmly onto the panel by pressing on the clip areas. Check the molding for a tight fit.
Check the clamps for damage and replace them if necessary.
