Oil pressure warning lamp
Lights up when the oil pressure drops, which lubricates the engine during operation.
If the lamp comes on while the engine is running, immediately stop the engine in a safe place and check the oil level. If the fire occurs at a normal oil level or after topping up the oil, contact a Honda dealer immediately. When the light is on, the car cannot be operated. There is a risk of engine damage.
Brake warning lamp
Lights up when the parking brake lever is not fully released and when the amount of brake fluid decreases. This lamp lights up also at faulty system ABS simultaneously with a control lamp ABS. If the lamp comes on while driving or when the parking brake lever is released:
- 1. It is necessary to check the brake fluid level;
- 2. If the fluid level is below normal, you must contact a Honda workshop. If the light comes on when the fluid level is normal and does not light up when the parking brake lever is raised, then you need to contact a Honda dealer.
In the event of simultaneous ignition with the ABS warning lamp
If the brake fluid level is normal and the lights come on at the same time, it can be assumed that the ABS system is malfunctioning. It is necessary to avoid high-speed movement and sudden braking and have a diagnosis at a Honda workshop.
Battery charging control lamp
Illuminates when there is a battery charging problem.
If the lamp lights up, it is necessary to turn off the heater, air conditioner, rear window heater, thereby reducing electricity consumption and go to the service station for diagnostics.
PGM-FI control lamp
Lights up in case of a malfunction of the engine control system.
If the lamp lights up while driving, avoid driving at high speed, immediately seek help from a service station.
AKP control lamp (functions simultaneously with the selector position indicator)
Goes out in the event of a malfunction of the automatic transmission. If this light goes out during the movement, then avoiding a sharp start of movement, sharp acceleration, it is necessary to go for diagnostics to a Honda service station.
Seat belt warning lamp
This lamp comes on when the ignition key is turned to the «II» before fastening the seat belt.
Warning lamp for low fuel level in the tank
If about 6 liters of gasoline remain in the fuel tank, this light will come on.
Open door warning lamp
Lights up when the doors are not securely closed. Close the doors completely.
Airbag warning lamp (functions simultaneously with the seat belt warning lamp)
Illuminates when a malfunction occurs in the SRS system.
A control lamp of antiblocking system of brakes (ABS)
Illuminates when there is a malfunction in the ABS system.
Determination of faulty control lamps
In normal condition, when the ignition key is turned to the position «II» The following indicator lamps light up briefly. If any lamp does not light up, it must be replaced.
- Oil pressure warning lamp (goes out after starting the engine)
- Brake warning lamp (goes out when the parking brake lever is fully released)
- Battery charging control lamp (goes out after starting the engine)
- AKP control lamp (goes out after a few seconds)
- Airbag warning lamp (goes out after about 6 seconds.)
